What it is: Monthly membership of a children's play centre

Cost: Paid: 1 month — AED 799 (7 days a week) or AED 599 (5 days a week)

How it works: The monthly membership gives two hours of play a day: 7 days a week or 5 days (the second option excludes public holidays). For comparison, a drop-in for ages 1–10 costs AED 115 for 2 hours, each extra hour AED 50.

Who can get it: Children; the drop-in page lists ages 1 to 10 and up to 12 months (the latter at a separate price of AED 60 for 2 hours)

Pros

• The 5-day membership pays off from about the sixth visit and the 7-day one from the seventh (at the AED 115 drop-in for 2 hours)
• Two hours of play a day for a month

Cons

• Refund, freezing and the children's ages for the membership are not stated on the page
